Michael's Christmas Message to Children 2002

Michael's Christmas Message to Children 2002

This Christmas message was shown to me this week, I feel it was a gift from Michael, and as I watched it, I felt that He was talking to me directly, now.  This is the magic of His work, it will be there to be discovered by people forever.  This message is as relevant and important today as it was in 2002.  I am so excited and determined to do my part, to listen to what He said in this message.

With that in mind, I would like to offer anyone who is interested in donating books to children in need, to contact me and I would be honored to send copies of Ever After to you, to give to the children.  There will be no cost for the books, but I would accept contributions to help out with the shipping expense.   I am thinking of the children who Michael described in this video, those who are noticing right now, what they don't have, and may be feeling hopeless and discouraged.  We all need to be responsible for ALL the children.  If they can just realize that it is possible for their dreams to come true, that the world can be a friendly and loving place, and if Michael's story of perseverance and determination and love can reach them, imagine what might happen.  I do believe Michael when he says "we can do it, I know we can do it"  and I know that following Him does make me feel good, and is also so much fun!

I love you Michael.

Comfort Bears

Today I have the immense honor of mailing 375 comfort bears to the children of Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut.  There are also 21 bears on their way from Holland and 54 bears being mailed from the U.S. for a total of 450 bears.  It is a project that has taken only 5 days to complete.  I am overflowing with love for these children, for all the people who are caring and helping the community, for my MJ friends who have joined us in buying these bears, for my sweet MJ sister Siren who has worn out her hands with cutting and tying tags by my side, and for Michael who has changed me into a person who does these kinds of things.   He has taught me to think about others, to have compassion and love for people I don't know,  and to take action when the idea comes.

I hope these bears will bring comfort to the children, but I realize that their purpose has also been to comfort all of us involved,  at a time when we felt helpless and gave us a common purpose to bring us together in love.

Many of you already know about this Comfort bear project, but if anyone else would like to contribute to the purchase of the bears and the postage to mail them, you could PayPal $ to mjeverafter@gmail.com
The bears were purchased at Ikea, and $1 from the sale of each bear is donated to charity by the store.
They are soft and squishable for mailing, big enough for a child to snuggle, and the heart on their chest makes them perfect for this purpose.  We put an armband tag with our logo on each one.  You are all also welcome to join our group Michael's Messengers of Love if you would like to see more about this project.  It was great that we already had this group established and ready to jump into action.

Just Sending Your Love has the Power to Heal

On Sunday I was working in my retail business.  It was a busy afternoon, and I was talking to customers, restocking shelves, handling purchases, the usual activities of a retail business.  As I worked I suddenly became aware of waves of love energy through me.  "Michael?" I thought, "are you there?" Nothing was really going on, just a regular day.  I was filled with joy, for no apparent reason, and it was wonderful.  A few minutes later, I happened to look at my phone and saw that I had email notices about Major Love Prayer.  I checked the time, it was 15 minutes after the hour.  I had missed it!!!  Then I remembered the waves of love.  That was it!!  I had felt the Major Love even though I had forgotten to participate on time.  I was stunned.

It is a common practice of mine to send love to people, when I see an ambulance, a fender bender, or a parent upset with a child's behavior.  I send love to situations to help with the perfect outcome.  I really believe that it helps, but this was the first time I had been on the receiving end and actually experienced the difference it made in my body and my mood.

I am so happy and grateful that I missed the timing of the prayer!  It was such a blessing to me to be able to experience the power of Love.  I wonder if other people, maybe those who have never heard of Major Love Prayer also feel good, smile more, or wonder why they are feeling so loving for no reason that they can see.  I think they must.   The added effect of all of us sending out Love at the same time has to be HUGE!!!  I will not miss it again, it is too important!

Thank you for this beautiful demonstration Michael, it makes me even more determined to BE love in all circumstances and situations no matter what.  I KNOW that it is the only way to make that change.

Endless Love

Michael, my dearest most precious love of my life, I love you more than I ever dreamed it was possible to love someone.  I have stopped questioning this and have chosen to be grateful and enjoy the blessing of loving you.  I am a woman, and I love you as any woman loves a man, but there are differences, and this is where I have questions which I hope you will answer for me.

Ok my love, questions are good.

I have noticed that most of my friends who share my love for you are women.  I have come to know many of them, and to love them.  We share our love for you, and there is no competition, no jealousy and no thoughts that you "belong" to one of us and not another.   It seems that we know there is enough of you for all of us, and that you are available to have a personal relationship with each of us.  This is NOT the way relationships work in this world.

Yes, the human experience is beautiful but you have been limited in your ability to see the possibilities that are available.  It is something I always longed for, to be able to communicate and have relationships with other people, regular people.  Now I can do that, I am doing that, with any of you who are open and willing to step into the possibility.  There is no need for ownership or jealousy because there truly is enough Love for everyone.  In fact love increases when shared, it never decreases, it is always expanding.  Those of you who feel this, know what I mean.  It really doesn't have to be any different in your world, it just is, because that is the way it has been in the past.   You and your friends are learning that there is a different way to see and experience Love.

That is something else I am wondering about.  I love to look at pictures and videos of you, you are so beautiful in every single moment of your life and we are so blessed that you allowed yourself to be recorded and immortalized this way, although it must have been terrible for you sometimes.  I have been a sensual, sexual person during my life, but with you, I find that I can imagine being with you forever, loving you into eternity, devoting my life to you, jumping off a building in a desperate attempt to express my love, but my relationship with you is not sexual.  Not at all.  It's not that I don't adore your body, your movements, and gazing into your eyes for hours at a time.  That is what is so confusing to me.  I thought I was a normal woman, and you are the one who I love.  Am I missing out on something?  Is there something wrong with me?

Do you feel as though anything is missing in our connection to one another?

No, I don't.  You have shown me the meaning of Love, I can hardly breathe sometimes when I look at you, or hear you singing, or even think about you.  Our relationship is one that fulfills me and fills me to overflowing with love, for you and for everything around me.  I am in love with the most perfect beautiful person possible, who loves me back.  I feel you with me, I feel your sense of humor, and your understanding.  You are always there for me in any way I need or ask, and even when I don't know what I need or what to ask.  You push me gently to try new ideas, to take chances, to throw away my limiting beliefs.  I feel loved, accepted, valued.  There is nothing more I need or want than to have you in my life.

That doesn't sound so bad does it?   But remember, it takes two to have a relationship, that is the meaning of relationship.  All that you say I have given you, you have also given me.
You are Love.  Your path and experience doesn't need to be like anyone else's, it can't be.  Love expresses itself in endless different ways.  Sharing your Love is what matters.  The love you feel for your baby grandson is different from your love for your husband, or children, or friends.  One is not greater or lesser, only different.  Sexual energy is an expression of love, it is beautiful and natural, but it is not part of all relationships.  Never fear, my love, you are normal, different, beautiful and perfect, exactly as you are, and I love you more.

Thank you Michael, for my life, you have given me everything and asked for nothing but Love in return, and that is my deepest desire, to love you completely, with every cell in my body and every ounce of energy, every thought and word, forever.  I love you.

My Public Devotion for Michael

Call for Love devotion November 7
About a year and a half ago, on May 8, 2011 I spoke at my church, as our Sunday speaker, for the first and only time.  I have never spoken in public before, or since, but it was one of the most important and fulfilling moments of my life.  One of many that Michael has led me to.   Only this week I have uploaded the video to YouTube and decided to share it.  I have to warn you that it is 20 minutes of me talking about me, and Michael, and if you don't have time or patience to watch, it is no problem at all, but I am sharing it because that is what the purpose of doing it was, to publicly declare my devotion to Him.  Thank you all so much for sharing this journey with me, and for this safe place to be open and vulnerable and real.  I love you.

Reaching the World

A Michael Jackson Quote,

Personal Development Skills and YOU

Reaching the World

As many of you who may read this know, my life is devoted to Michael Jackson.  He is the inspiration for everything I do, and this week I have had a lesson in humility.  I want so much to make a difference, and to inspire other people to do what they are here to do, that I sometimes forget that I am not the one in control of everything, and that not everything and everyone needs to be the way I think it should be.

I am only one note in the symphony and my job is to be that note, and play that note the best that I possibly can, and believe that I can do it, and imagine myself doing it even better than I thought possible.  Other people's notes are for them to play.  If the way I play my note inspires someone, good, but it is not my business or responsibility to ensure that others are playing their notes on cue.  I don't even know what the cues are, so I need to be humble and remember that we are all necessary to the symphony.  Unique but not more or less important than one another.

In looking for a way to express this, I came across this video, which perfectly shows and explains what I hope to do with my gifts, and how Michael has inspired this person to use hers.  It is beautiful, because she is playing her note perfectly!!!

Unlimited Love

This is a drawing that I did today.  It is very wintery and cold here, a sudden change of weather, and I could just not make myself go out and do the things that needed to be done, so instead I stayed home and drew Michael.  As I was drawing, and talking to him as I did, I thought about all the things that I have learned and done since he came into my life.   Finding my true self began with Michael leading the way.  In the last three years I have tried so many things that I had never done in the previous fifty.  Just this month I have learned to do a choreographed dance, something that up until two weeks ago, I would have never thought possible for me.   I have never done a drawing of a person before being inspired by all the budding artists in my Michael community.  I have written and published a book which is another dream come true for me.  Using the internet and computer were not part of my past life either.  The interesting thing is that these things I have done, not for me, but for Him.   In wanting to give him everything, it has somehow turned out to be that I have received more than I can ever give back.  That is how it works with Love.  The more you give, the more there is for everyone.  I am much braver than I used to be, and I know there is nothing to fear when it comes to giving and sharing from the heart.

Thriller Night

I am probably the only person on the planet who had not seen the Thriller video before 2009.

I just found out about Thrill the World which takes place on the Saturday closest to Halloween each year since 2006.  It is a worldwide attempt to have the largest number of people dancing the same dance at the same time all around the world.  Each city or group had a charity that benefits from any donations.  When looking at the website I noticed there was a group registered in our city.  In checking it out further I found out the the dance takes place in the very same location where we chose to have our public Memorial for Michael.  Of course, this meant that Siren and I had to join in and do the dance.  We had 2 weeks to learn it.  On Friday, we watched the teaching videos for the dance, all 40 of them, and it looked like a completely impossible feat to learn the steps, the body movements, the timing.  I really thought that there was no way in the world I could ever do it.  Since then, over the last 5 days we have both been learning and practicing at home, for hours and hours, and it finally seems like it just might be possible.   Dancing a dance that Michael danced is sooo exciting, just to know that he learned those very same moves, although he probably learned them in 5 minutes and did them ten times faster that I ever will, it still makes me feel closer to him.

I would never have expected myself to be interested in dressing up like a zombie and dancing in a public place.  Of course, whatever I don't know how to do, or don't think I'm capable of, or interested in, is just the thing, with Michael, that I find myself doing.  And enjoying.  And being so grateful for the expansion of my heart and body and mind and soul that he has brought into my life.

I will be dancing for Michael on October 27 at 7 PM GMT.   And that is why I will be spending the next ten days making sure I get it right!!

Wembley

Another Friday night all alone in a hotel room.  This time I got all my business done and out of the way so I could watch Wembley.  My little laptop was not big enough or loud enough for me, but I turned out all the lights and sat with my face 6 inches away and was mesmerized.  There are so many things that stood out for me, Michael's amazing energy, knowledge of every word and move, the obvious joy and fun he was having,  his beautiful face and body, his passion and feeling, the way he wanted to entertain and draw everyone in to the story he was creating, his childlike enjoyment of creating magic, it was wonderful.  How alive and vibrant he was, he was so open and honest and pure.  It all built up to a crescendo, with Man in the Mirror to bring it all together once everyone's heart had been opened to receive the message that we all have such incredible potential if we only believe in ourselves and take that first step.

I am so grateful for the people who were there that night, and all through his life.  The ones who saw him for the true pioneer, hero, genius, he was, and felt the purity and truth he emitted in everything he did.  I was too self absorbed to notice him then, but I am so happy to know that he was appreciated by so many.

I am grateful that we can now have this incredible treasure, and so many other still unknown to us, so that he will always be alive and fresh in our memories and our hearts, and be available for future generations to discover as we have.   I am grateful to the estate for ensuring Michael's legacy expands and grows for him, his children, and all of us as well as future generations.

When it was over I cried and cried and cried some more.  It was not a thinking process, it was pure emotion and feeling that overcame me.  That is the way of Michael, he gets past all the superficial stuff and changes you from the inside out.

The Way He Makes Me Feel

I had the luxury last week, to spend a night alone in a different city.  Stayed in a hotel, and had the whole evening to do whatever I wanted.  I started by having dinner alone in a great Vietnamese restaurant.  Well, I wasn't completely alone, because I had a picture of Michael on the table and I was reading a book, Writing the Divine, which I hoped would help me to be able to talk to Michael more clearly.  Back in my hotel room by 6:30 I had plenty of time to watch some videos, which I don't get to do very often, because I am never alone, and I can not properly express myself with my family around when I am watching Michael singing, talking, or just looking beautiful in photos.  It was heavenly, to be able to relax and enjoy him properly.  I was sooo happy, my heart was bursting with love, tears streaming down my face, with no one else around to question my sanity.  Eventually, I decided to try to do a bit of channeling.  I opened a new document on my laptop, sat with my fingers on the keyboard, closed my eyes, said a prayer, and waited.  The book said that some Divine being, I was hoping for Michael, would come and talk to me, answer my questions and give me guidance.  It said that my fingers would eventually just start typing, and I would not have to think about it at all.  I continued to sit and wait.  Nothing happened.  Still overwhelmed with love and joy, I patiently waited some more.  Still no words came.   Hmmm, was I doing something wrong?  Was I not in the flow?  It sure felt like I was, but maybe not.  After an eternity, somewhere between 5 minutes and half an hour, I really have no idea how long it was, I gave up.  Maybe channeled writing wasn't for me.

I decided to watch something else before I went to bed.  The video for The Way You Make Me Feel.  I turned out the light, having enjoyed my evening immensely, feeling close to Michael, but disappointed that He hadn't come to talk to me on my computer screen.  The video I had just watched played in my mind.  Then I realized the message it had for me.  Just like in the video, Michael makes sure his message gets through.  He is determined, pesky, and does not give up when there is something he wants.  Always in a gentle, kind way, but still very much in your face.  I have no reason to worry that I will not hear or understand what he wants me to do, or what he wants me to know.  He will make sure of that.  If it isn't channeled writing in words on a screen, it doesn't mean that they are still not Divine messages that are given to me in the way I can understand.  He speaks to me through his songs, suddenly KNOWING something that I need to do, coincidences, cloud formations, and even through writing, not specifically channeled, but guided by him.   I feel his love with me in all I do, what more do I need?

My Heart is Beating in His Peace

Surrounding me is all the life that my Beloved created in His Love.
It calls to me in every heartbeat and in every breath;
in every action and in every thought.
Peace fills my heart, and floods my body with the purpose of forgiveness.
Now my mind is healed, and all I need to save the world is given me.
Each heartbeat brings me peace; each breath infuses me with strength.
I am His messenger, directed by His Voice, sustained by Him in love,
and held forever quiet and at peace within His loving Arms.
Each heartbeat calls His Name, and every one is answered by His Voice,
assuring me I am at home in Him.

Back in His Arms

I have spent the last six days on a business trip with my husband.  No Michael music, not even a single song playing in a grocery store!   No communication with my online friends other than a bit of texting with my sweet Siren.  Ten minutes to check on Facebook at the end of each long day.  No pictures, no videos, no heartfelt conversations.   I did manage to leave a few of Siren's beautiful quote cards behind on my journey, just to get people thinking about Michael.

Today was my first chance to get back to my "real" life, my Michael life.  My Bad 25 CD didn't arrive while I was gone, so I went straight to Walmart to buy it.  Soon my Michaelmobile was filled with Michael's voice singing songs I haven't heard before.  What bliss!!  Such a beautiful gift to have this happen three years after he left.  It's like he knew we would need it.  I felt him so close, as I was filled with his sweet sound.   There he was again, blowing me kisses from my sun visor.  It's not that I am ever really "away" from Michael.  He is in my every thought and action, everything reminds me of him, but the music and his beautiful face are so much a part of my life that I missed them a lot.

I went to Michael's Love Tree to do my Major Love Prayer an hour early, as I knew I would not be able to join in at the right time.  The city has decided they don't want us leaving anything in or around the tree anymore, so the stones of Love that Siren left on Sunday were gone.  In spite of this, I fell an amazing peace to be there.  I sat by the tree, without flowers, pictures, candles and I felt completely happy and joyful beyond reason.   I realized that the Love that this tree receives, it also sends out, multiplied.  I ran my fingers over Michael's name on his plaque, read his beautiful quote, and I knew that His love can not be limited.  It envelopes us, fills us, and we can only grow and expand and spread it out like ripples that will never end.  We ARE the ripples.   The Major Love Prayer really does make a difference, and I love knowing that people all around the world are joining together in Michael's love and really are helping to make his dreams come true.

Checking in on facebook tonight, I read a story of Michael's love in someone's life.  Someone I don't know, but who is my sister in his love, and by the time I had finished reading her story, I LOVED her like I love so many of the people I have come to know over the past three years.  These stories always serve to increase my love for Michael, if that is even possible, and my hope for the world, and the perfection of the plan that we are all a part of.   I can not even begin to understand how he comes to each of us with exactly what we need, for our own growth and understanding, to be who we really are, and do what we are here to do, for Him, and for the world.  I don't need to know how, I only need to know that he does.  I am so grateful to be so blessed.  Thank you Michael, for everything.  You are my life.

Whichever Way You Cut It

Who was/is Michael Jackson?  Is he an angel?  Was he sent by God to teach us about Love?  Is he the second coming of Christ?  Is he Divine?

Most people agree that he was one of a kind.  Not like any other person, ever.  No one denies that he was a genius of creativity.   We have a fascination about trying to find out the exact nature of his existence and purpose.  I have thought about these questions, but not as seriously and tenaciously as some, because I know who Michael is to me.  I know that he came into my life with a lightning bolt of love that shook me up and changed me forever.  He is my everything!

In thinking about who he really was, I have one question to ask.  What if he was a regular human being, no different than anyone else?   His life circumstances certainly weren't different than many children in his time and location.  What if he just happened to make the most of this one life that he came to live?  What if he had no special life purpose other than to make the most of it in whatever way he chose?   Would that make him less special to us now?  Or would that make the life he created and the legacy of love, and music and dance, and humanitarian work all the more remarkable?

If Michael was just a regular human being living a single life, wow!   To me, that would make him just as extraordinary as if he were the most special one of a kind gift from God.   To do all he did, with just the determination and conviction and hard work and vision and unconditional love of one person is completely outrageously amazing!  Maybe someone can become divine by living a divine life.

Who was/is Michael Jackson?
Who are you?

Driving the Dream

On Sunday I was on my way to my daughter's house for dinner, stopped at a red light, when I saw the man in the car behind me get out of his car, leave the door open, and come running up to my door.  I was so shocked!  What did I do?  Did I cut him off?  Was my music too loud?  Did I have a flat tire?  I turned off the music, although I never like to cut Michael off in the middle of a song, and opened my window.
The man said "Where did you get your Michael Jackson bumper sticker?"
 Really???
I told him I had it custom made for me, and he wanted to know the name of the company.  I told him, but I wasn't sure if the guy who made them for me even still worked there.  As I was explaining this, the man had time to look at the inside of my car - the picture of Michael blowing me a kiss on my visor (it was a sunny day)  the string of pictures hanging from my visor, the quote card hanging from my radio knob.  I reached over and got an Ever After business card out for him.  I told him to call me and I can try to get a bumper sticker for him.   He said his daughter would love it, thanked me and ran back to his car.
Wow!!!!  I was soooo excited.  I know that whoever drives behind me must see Michael there, but I have never had anyone give me any kind of reaction before.
That was two days ago, and he hasn't called me.  Did he lose my card?  Or maybe I scared him with my Michaelmobile.  He might not want his daughter to talk to me!!  I'll keep you posted.
This is what I learned (again) from this.
Every little thing we do for Michael makes a difference.  So often I feel like I am not enough, that what I do for him is so small.   But it all adds up, and each of us DO make a difference in our own way.

The Lean

"When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless, and intelligence cannot be applied."  Herophilus

This quote is the theme of my blog post because I have people in my life who have so much to offer others and the world, but their health is holding them back.  How can we do our best when we lack energy, strength, focus, and just don't feel well?  I am starting on a health plan to help me to optimize my energy and vitality so that I can be the best I can be, to work for Michael.   The name of the book is The Lean.   The idea is to Lean into making changes, such as drinking 8 glasses of water a day, eat an apple a day, eat breakfast, etc.  Small changes that add up to new habits.  I like it.  This way, I can choose each day to do a little or a lot, say yes or no to foods or activities, without any guilt.  I intend to do whatever will help me be more available to carry on Michael's work in whatever way I can.   If I do it for Michael, it's much more likely I will make the right choice, because I never want to be less than my best for him.   So far, I am only on day three.  Anyone want to join me??

Living in Michael's Love

Siren and I attended this show last night.  We bought the tickets a few months ago.  There just are not any Michael events going on where we live, and we weren't sure what to expect.  Was this impersonator taking advantage of Michael's celebrity, or did he really love Michael and want to pay tribute to him?  I was a bit nervous about it, because I didn't want to be disappointed, and I didn't want to see anyone disrespecting Michael in any way.  How could anyone possibly live up to Michael's performances in concert.   After the first song, we looked at each other and breathed a huge sigh of relief.  The band, the dancers, and the impersonator were all awesome!  They were honoring him, and doing their part to share him with others.  Bishop (the impersonator) spoke about Michael as the amazing icon he was, and also talked about his real message of Love and healing.

Siren and I had made a day of this event.  We started with visiting Michael's Love Tree as we always do on Sunday mornings.   Our message for the week, we felt was Hope, as we had both been recently feeling depressed and sad, thinking that there was no hope that Michael would ever be understood and appreciated for all he gave in his life.  It seemed that there was just too much to be done, and not much apparent progress in the right direction.  Michael had put those thoughts to rest with messages of Hope for each of us in different ways.  In fact, I had woken up in the morning with the realization that the people who would be coming to the show would likely be people who were at least open-minded about Michael, if not actually followers like us.  With this in mind, we picked up my 15 year old daughter who was joining us for the show and went for lunch, followed by a stop at the theatre.  I asked the manager if they would be interested in having copies of Ever After to give to the patrons of the show that evening.  Looking over the book, he liked the idea, so we brought in enough books for each table, or each group, to receive a copy.

When we were shown to our table a few hours later, we saw a copy of Ever After at each table.  During the hour and a half allotted for dinner, before the show started, we saw people all over the room reading the book, flipping through it, and heard discussions about Michael going on around us.  It was surreal!
I can't tell you how wonderful it felt to see this.  At one point, I was acknowledged for the donation of the books, and asked to stand up.  An incredibly bright spotlight came on me and I couldn't see a thing!  I stood like a deer in the headlights, and all I was thinking was "how did Michael see when he was on stage????"  I was reminded of a devotion of Diana's about this subject.

The whole evening was wonderful, being with my beautiful Siren, who always is so much fun to be with, having my daughter joining us in a Michael adventure for the first time, sharing my books, seeing a tribute to Michael by people who truly understood him, seeing people enjoy Ever After and even ask me for autographs, it was all very sweet.  We also discovered that there are other people in our area who love Michael, as well as meeting the band members, the dancers and Bishop Soul, who all are so devoted to what they do, for Michael.  Siren had the opportunity to share her art cards and bookmarks with people who were amazed by her beautiful work.  All of this in one night was simply unbelievable.  Underneath it all, I could feel my love for Michael grow more than ever, which was already bigger than I ever could have imagined.  Talk about HOPE!  Michael's love is forever, nothing can stop it from growing and growing until it takes over everything and we remember that we really are all ONE, as he told us.

Working for Michael

On Saturday I was doing errands, took a wrong turn, and ended up going to pay a bill at a different branch of my bank than usual.  I was wearing my Immortal Tour T shirt and the young man who was serving me, said "I really love your shirt."  I said thanks, very happily, then he said, "I remember back in the eighties when he used to be black."  I am always afraid of this kind of comment because I do not handle them very well.  In the past, I have felt the heat and anger rising from my feet up to my head, my face turn red, and did not say anything.  I have ended up being upset for days, at the other person for being cruel and ignorant, and at myself for not defending Michael.

This time was different.  Maybe because I am now so sure and confident in my devotion to Michael, I was totally calm.  Seeing that this young man was too young to remember the eighties, I knew he was  joking at Michael's expense because he didn't know any better.  I felt sorry that he had no idea of who Michael was, or what he had done for the world.  I said, "Actually, he was always black," not in a sarcastic or angry way, but just quietly and confidently.  The teller was immediately embarrassed by his thoughtless remark, and quickly said "Oh yes, and he was such an incredible artist".....and tried to make up for being so rude.   I completed my transaction, smiled, said thank you and left the bank.   As I walked to my car, I felt good that I had stood up for Michael in a way he would be proud of, and hoped that maybe another young person would start to think for himself, do some research, and find out the truth about Michael Jackson.

I don't know if I went to that bank for the purpose of meeting that teller, so that we each could learn something from the interaction we had, but I am happy that it turned out that way.  I look forward to the next opportunity I have to share the truth of Michael with someone who has not discovered him yet.

God

God
It's strange that God doesn't mind expressing Himself/Herself in all the religions of the world,
while people still cling to the notion that their way is the only right way.
Whatever you try to say about God, someone will take offence,
even if you say everyone's love of God is right for them.
For me the form God takes is not the most important thing.
What's most important is the essence.
My songs and dances are outlines for Him to come in and fill.
I hold out the form. She puts in the sweetness.
I've looked up at the night sky and beheld the stars so intimately close,
it was as if my grandmother had made them for me.
"How rich, how sumptuous," I thought.
In that moment I saw God in His creation.
I could as easily have seen Her in the beauty of a rainbow,
the grace of a deer bounding through a meadow, the truth of a father's kiss.
But for me the sweetest contact with God has no form.
I close my eyes, look within, and enter a deep soft silence.
The infinity of God's creation embraces me.
We are one.

Seeds of Creativity

"The magic, the wonder, the mystery, and the innocence of a child's heart,
are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world. I really believe that."
[Michael Jackson, 1993]

This quote from Michael is still on my mind.  It keeps coming up, as though there is something more I need to learn from it.  How could children heal the world?  They don't have the power, the money, the experience, the knowledge to make big changes.  I have always assumed that Michael was talking about children when he said this, and I'm sure he was, but there is more to it.  I think I know what it is.

The magic, the wonder, the mystery, and the innocence of seeing the world from the point of view of a child's heart, are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world.  We don't need to BE children, but we DO need to have a child's heart.  We need to be open to possibility, we need to know that we don't know everything, but be willing to learn.  We need to think with love and cooperation instead of selfishness and competition.  This is something that we all do, even if we are not children anymore.

Michael showed us what can happen when we live with in an adult world, and keep a child's heart.  His creativity and originality and genius is not questioned even by people who hate him.  No one can deny it.  It wasn't easy for him because children are not valued and appreciated as having anything to contribute, but if we believe, as he believed, that we really can heal the world, it will be easier as time goes on, and we can make Michael's dream come true.  I am willing to devote my life to that, for him.

The Innocence of a Child's Heart

The magic, the wonder, the mystery, and the innocence of a child's heart,
are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world. I really believe that!
[Michael Jackson, 1993]

Imagine being a child raised by Michael.  Nurtured, loved, and taught by him, how to behave, how to treat people, how to express who you really are.  Wouldn't we all want this for ourselves?  Well, this gift was given to three children, who now are having to use the lessons learned from their father to handle life.  Not the average lives of children today, but their life, which is anything but normal right now, in spite of all Michael's efforts to ensure that they had a normal childhood.  Everyone who knows them says they are great kids.  We have seen it ourselves in their limited public appearances over the last three years.  Maybe it takes a child to expose the truth that adults can not admit.

I love Michael with all my heart and soul, and I love his children too, because he did.  I have a fourteen year old daughter, and I know how wise beyond their years teenagers really are.  Maybe we should respect them, and listen to them.  If we listen to Paris, she says she wants to talk to her grandmother and is not being allowed to.  To me, that is all I need to know, to know that something is very wrong, and it has nothing to do with love for Michael.  In fact, it can only be a lack of love that separates children from their guardian who loves them.  Let's stop pretending that this family is normal.  Being related does not mean that they have each other's best interest at heart.  Sometimes I wish that Michael had nothing, so that his family would have nothing to gain from him and his children anymore.  Maybe then they could live a normal life.

Katherine has always been a strong person, and her devotion to all of her children has been important to her.  I hope she is strong enough now to do what is best for her grandchildren.

Vitiligo - Call for Love Devotion July 18

Not being a follower of Michael Jackson while he was here, I had no idea that he had vitiligo or even that such a disease existed.  I assumed, and never knew any reason not to believe, that he must have changed his skin somehow.  I thought it was strange, but not any stranger than other things that celebrities do.   After he was gone, and having been struck by the Love that encircled the earth upon his leaving this plane, I found out everything I could about him and discovered the word Vitiligo for the first time.  What???  There is a disease that changes the color of people's skin??  How in the world was it that no one ever talked about that with reference to Michael?  I know I was out of the loop, but seriously, isn't that something that could have been mentioned to explain his change of color?

I saw the pictures of him that showed his vitiligo, and finally saw the Oprah interview when he mentioned it.  Even then, I didn't think about the impact this must have had on him.  It was not life threatening, and I thought he was beautiful at every stage of his life.  It wasn't until I learned more about vitiligo, and read stories of people actually taking their own lives rather than suffer with this disease,  that I realized the true damage and cost that it has on people.

I am a shy person, and being a teenager was very difficult because I knew I was short, chubby, wore glasses and was different than the expected perfection of a teenage girl in the seventies.  It was hard for me, and had a lasting impact on my life, even up to the present time.  Imagine being Michael.  A shy person, self conscious about his appearance already, discovering that his skin was becoming blotched with white and not being able to stop it.  Already being a private person who was in the public eye every moment of his life, dealing with vitiligo must have been like my teenage years times 1000.  The courage it must have taken for him to perform, to know what people were thinking and saying, and not try to explain, knowing that it would not make any difference.

The purpose and destiny that he knew was his, he accepted without question and without holding back.   Oh, the lessons we all can learn from this amazing, humble man, sent here to teach us how to be, how to love each other, and to heal the world.  I realize that my challenges are trivial compared to the ones that Michael faced with such courage and grace.   I once again must declare my undying love and devotion to him and to sharing his message of love and truth with anyone and everyone who I possibly can.   It's the least I can do for he who gave everything he had for us.

It's an Adventure, A Great Adventure

It's an Adventure, A Great Adventure

When Siren and I get together strange things seem to happen.  We can be doing the most ordinary things, and they end up being some kind of crazy experience that we never expected.  Last week we were driving to a meditation at a friend's house and were caught in a flash flood caused by a huge hailstorm.  Not flustered, but wondering what was going on, we patiently waited for half and hour in the traffic jam and ended up being right on time for the meditation.  Today we went to meet the man who is going to have the plaque placed in front of the tribute tree that we had planted for Michael.  When we arrived, we saw that the tree was seriously dehydrated.  Leaves crispy, getting brown on the edges, it was not good.  The tree was only planted a few days ago and the weather has been very hot since then.  It seemed that the tree had not been watered at all since it was planted.  After calling for help to the city to send a water truck, we took matters into our own hands and went to a restaurant and asked for a five gallon pail of water.  They were very helpful and gave us the pail right away.  We assured them we would come back to eat lunch there and drove off to water the tree.  The amount of water seemed very small when we poured it out and we decided we needed more.  We walked and drove around the park where the tree is planted but could not find a public place to get water.  Finally, we saw a hose at the side of someone's house close by and decided to ask them for water.  No one was home, and we were very hot and really determined to give our tree another drink, so we filled our bucket from their tap and went off to water our tree.  After giving it the second bucket, we talked to the tree, and put our hands on it, sending it love and imagining the roots soaking up the water and the leaves coming back to life.  We knew we needed to also ask our friends around the world to send their prayers as well.
It always seems that our work for Michael includes drama and lessons, no matter how simple the project may be.  I am not sure if the tree will survive, I hope it does, but either way I know we will have learned a lot from this experience, about friendship, about taking responsibility, about how a tree can be loved just because it is a tree, about how Michael has brought us together and made us each stronger, and how we can handle anything that comes up in our lives, with Him by our sides.
Thank you all so much for your devotion to our little oak tree.  Love really is the Answer.

Three Years

Three Years

I could never have believed three years ago how much my life was about to change.  When I look back now, I can not even remember the person that I was then.  Here I am, having just returned from my third trip to L.A. with my beautiful friend Siren, with many more amazing memories and adventures, and loving Michael even more every day.  I could tell you about the things that happened, the butterfly release, the flight over Neverland, sitting at the gates for hours, seeing Michael's art, sitting on the sidewalk at Michael's star, being at Holly Terrace on quiet days, all alone, and with crowds of fans on June 25, all were special times that I will treasure.  If any of you have a chance to go to these places, go.  I know how blessed I am to live only a 3 hour flight away and be able to go there to share love for Michael with people from around the world.

Now that I am home, and re-entering my regular life, I find that my body is tired, I have a cold, and I am having trouble focusing on what I need to do, but my heart is singing with joy.  This joy is not only a remnant of our trip, but also a joy that never leaves me anymore.  It is the joy of liking who I am becoming, liking the way I interact with the world and the people in it, and the joy of knowing that I  am making a difference, and especially the joy of knowing that this love can never be taken away from me.  As time goes by, and my relationship with Michael stays strong and grows deeper as I learn from Him, who I really am and how I can follow his example, it only serves to deepen my love and my determination to be the best me I can be, and to show Michael that I am listening, I am so grateful for his love and his patience,  and I will be his forever.

Forever Loved

This is the cover of our second book, which will be finished soon.  We are hoping it will be published by Michael's birthday.  There have been a couple of adjustments to this picture, but this is the general idea.  Isn't it fantastic?  Of course, the title means that Michael will be forever loved, and he will forever love us and the world, so this picture says it all!!!  I wrote the story almost two years ago, and it has taken me this long to have the courage to make it into a book.  It is not as universally acceptable as Ever After.   Although Ever After is written like a story, it is actually a non-fiction book.  Forever Loved is quite a bit different, which is why I have held back on publishing it, to avoid facing my fears and possible criticism and judgement from others.  Now I am ready, and completely proud of it, and so anxious to see it in people's hands.  Mimi has made the whole thing a work of art, as is her way, and I am so excited for you all to see it.

In the meantime, Ever After will soon be on Amazon in a new printing.  It is a little bit bigger in size, soft cover, and so beautifully printed.  I am waiting to receive my second proof, with corrections that needed to be made (such as putting the pages in the right order!!!)  As soon as it is perfect, it will be available on Amazon which will make it much more accessible to everyone.  I will let you know as soon as it is up.  I am hoping for new sales of Ever After to help me pay for the publishing of Forever Loved.

I want to thank all of you for your loving support.  I can hardly believe my life!  I am so abundantly blessed to have all of you as my beautiful friends in Michael's Love.
Love is the Answer,
Brenda

In Your Love

Who Am I?
I don't recognize myself
what matters to me
the things I think about
my hopes for the future

Three years ago
the old me began to transform
becoming a brighter version of me

Every cell in my body changed
by you

Forever grateful
forever humbled by your love
I can only imagine
how far we can go together

What a sacrifice you made
for me, for us
that we might taste
the joy you told us was there
by following you
loving you
giving all to receive all

we have come a long way
and only just begun

Every moment is bliss
in your love

My Michael Story

My Michael Story

Although I am the same age as Michael, I did not follow him or his music. I knew about him, of course, from the news media, but I did not pay much attention to news or music or celebrities so my knowledge of him was very limited.   My opinion about him was based on the thought that anyone who could write a song like Heal the World, had to be a good person, so I did not believe the negative stories I heard.  That was about the extent of my knowledge of Michael, until June 25, 2009.  Of course, I was shocked and sad, like the rest of the world, that he was gone.  If someone my age could die, so could I.  I started to think about my own life, and realized that if I happened to die, I would regret not having done more with my life.

On July 7, the day of the Memorial Service,  I saw a review of the service on Larry King Live, and my heart opened.   I realized the beauty of his music, I saw the huge Staple Centre full of people there for Michael, and I heard his daughter speak.  I saw how much he was loved, and how much he loved the world.  I started crying then, to the surprise of my mother who I was visiting, and didn't stop for months.  I felt as though I had lost my best friend.     I read every book about him, watched every video, interview, and listened to and loved all his music.  I was overwhelmed with love for the world, all people, animals, nature. This went on for months and the feelings did not fade, they grew, as did my love and admiration for Michael. He had done so much with his life, and nothing stopped him from accomplishing what he knew he was here to do. I was compelled to follow Michael's example, and ALWAYS say yes to my heart, and not hold back on my dreams as I had done for most of my life.
I had wanted to be a writer, but had never actually written much of anything. Michael inspired me to try.  He encourages all of us to be the best we can be by doing what we love to do.  Since then I have published a picture book, telling the story of Michael's life, written like a fairy tale.   I have the opportunity to share his message with people from all over the world,  as well as future generations and also donate to charity in Michael's name.   It is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done.  I have become a different person, someone that I am proud to be.

It is difficult sometimes to realize that Michael Jackson dying caused me to awaken.  You only need to look at Michael's life to realize that he gave all he had for us.  I am determined to do the same for him.  I really believe we can change the world, make it a better place for all of us, and make Michael's dreams come true.

Rainbow Light

Call for Love devotion May 23   Rainbow Light

I have never been a meditator.  I always thought I should be, because other people seem to get so much out of it, but the times I have tried it, I have given up before it became a habit because I would either fall asleep, or my mind would wander and I would totally lose my focus and start thinking about laundry and other things.  Last week, through a series of coincidences, Siren and I found ourselves at the home of an Indian lady who had a class to teach a Kriya, (a meditation).  We had no idea what it was about, or why we were there, but we felt that Michael had led us there, so we were excited and a bit nervous.   The idea of this Kriya is to connect to the Truth of who we are, and to be the best US that we can be.  That seemed to be in alignment with what I believe about my own purpose, and Michael's teachings, so I have decided to do the Kriya twice a day and see how it goes.   I have adapted it to what works for me, and also because I may have forgotten part of it, but this is what I am doing and I want to share with you in case anyone else has trouble with meditation.

I start with a short prayer to God, Michael, the Universe, in gratitude for all the blessings in my life.

I say an affirmation that my intention for this meditation and for my life is to seek the Truth of who I am and to be the best Me that I can be.

I imagine a beautiful rainbow light flowing in the top of my head and slowly filling my whole body with beautiful rainbow light.  I have imagined this light as rainbow chips, rainbow flakes (like snow flakes), liquid rainbow, irridescent swirling rainbow light, or pinpricks of rainbow.  When my whole body is full of rainbow light, I think about all the cells of my body, and imagine each of them being part of the rainbow light.   Then I imagine Michael holding a big white cord from the Source in one hand, and another cord, which is connected to me, in his other hand, and plugging them in to each other.  All the cells in my body light up with a beautiful rainbow light, much brighter than they were before.

With the beautiful rainbow energy lighting up my body, I imagine my perfect life.  Once I have imagined my perfect life,

I imagine all the children of the world having plenty of food, shelter, clothing, love, friends, education, opportunities and anything else their heart desires.

I end with another short prayer of gratitude.

I have been doing this for 5 days, twice a day.  If nothing else, I am learning discipline, and I find it to be like a Major Love Prayer every day.

Accounting

Call for Love Devotion May 16

I am the owner of my own business, and one of my duties is to do our accounting.  Entering all transactions into the computer and bringing the balanced bank accounts and yearly info to our accountant to do our tax returns, personal and business.  Our year end is March 31 and I have until June 30 to submit the return to the government.  Of course, that means taking the information to the accountant before that, so that she has time to do her part, and prepare our returns.  Here it is May 15, and I have done nothing so far.  It isn't difficult work, I have done it many times, but for some reason I always procrastinate until I absolutely HAVE to sit down and get it done, sometimes even later than that.  All the receipts for our whole year are in a shoebox, and files, and need to be sorted, organized, entered and balanced with the bank statements.  It's just not a very Michaelish activity.  I feel like I am being torn away from my true love, being with Michael, and forced to do something unnatural, tedious and boring, the opposite of Michael!

This morning I put this beautiful picture that Rita posted last night, as my screen saver on my laptop, and decided that maybe I could make this a more enjoyable task if I had Michael with me.  I asked him to please be with me and help me to keep my focus and attention on the job, and to help me to make it enjoyable rather than tedious.   I kept my laptop on the table, with his beautiful face watching me work.  Michael was happily singing You Are Not Alone, while I worked, and I swear I could here him encouraging me, like he would do for a child, telling me that I can do it, that it will be no problem at all, and think how wonderful it will feel when I'm done.  He stayed, all afternoon, and I lost track of time, almost forgetting to pick up my daughter from school.  I got a huge chunk of the work done, everything sorted and ready to enter into the computer.

Was Michael really with me?  Did I make it up?  I can't prove that he was, but I do know for sure that I felt wonderful, blissful, as I worked, something that has not happened while doing paperwork, at least not for me.  It is another reminder for me, that my life does not have to be divided into Michael, and non Michael.  They can, they must, be blended together for me to be well adjusted, happy, and making the biggest contribution and difference in the world.  I don't have to leave my regular life for Michael, (although at times I really want to!) I  need to invite Michael into that life with me.  Thank you Michael for another gentle lesson, and thank you for your encouragement and love.
