My Girl
My 14 year old daughter is in Grade 9 and is taking a Leadership class this semester. One of her assignments was to do a report on someone who is a hero to her. YES!!! She did her report on Michael!!
She didn't tell me she had picked him until she was finished. This is SOOO fantastic. She chose pictures of him and wrote his story from her perspective, saying what made him a hero to her. She said that even through all his struggles he kept going because he knew that he was a good person and that's all that really matters. I can't tell you what it means to me to have her do this. It is a ripple, another ripple of truth that will go out to her teacher, her classmates, and into her future because of what she knows about Michael. Will she go through the struggles in life, knowing that she is a good person, and that's all that matters? I know people in their 50's who have not figured that out yet. Thank you Michael, for all you have done for all of us. You are still making such a huge difference, and I will never stop being amazed and grateful for your goodness and how you made your whole life a demonstration of LOVE.

Group Hug
Call for love has been here for one year. I couldn't find out the exact date it was opened but it was close to the end of March in 2011. During that time we have been through a lot together, ups and downs and we have been somehow insulated from the fan fighting that I hear is going on in other places. That is really something for us all to be proud of. I know that we all love Michael, and sometimes when something matters so much to us, we can get defensive and protective if others don't agree with our views. Being in a place where we can't see one another, or hear our voices, we have to interpret those important parts of the conversation ourselves, and if we are not in an open frame of mind it is easy to misinterpret what the other person is trying to say.
We did have a problem here last week, and one of our long time, well loved members felt it best for her to leave the group. It is heartbreaking to me, that she would feel it necessary to take that step. Lene's devotion on Monday reminded us that Michael is asking us to Come Together, Right Now.... Over Me. This applies, not only in the big picture of the world where we are all doing our part to help, but also in the tiny facebook comment that might be taken the wrong way. Let's be slow to judge and quick to apologize and continue to have Call for Love a safe place to be ourselves.

Love is the Answer
I have been thinking about the parents and families of the children who died yesterday in the bus crash in Switzerland. My heart opens in love for them. I can not even begin to imagine what pain they are in right now, and I don't know what could be done or said that would bring them any relief. Of course, we all think of our own children, and wonder how we could carry on if they were taken suddenly away. If I was with those parents, I would say nothing, only hold them in my arms and love them, and share their grief.
From the other side of the world, where I am, I am holding them in my arms and loving them, sending them strength to help them get through one day, one hour, one minute at a time. It's easy for me, because I have my normal life to return to after my prayer for their healing. For them, life will never be the same.
I hope they will all help each other in this shared tragedy, and that strong bonds will form to help them cope, a community that will never be torn apart by petty grievances because they have shared so much with one another. It is easy to say that time will heal, or that their children are in a beautiful place waiting to be reunited with them, and maybe someday they will be ready to hear these things, but not today.
The only thing I know for sure, is that Love is the Answer.

CALL FOR LOVE - Call for Love March 14/12
It was in March one year ago that Call for Love was born out of the desire to unite in the common goal of bringing cleansing thoughts of love to the proceedings of the trial that was pending at that time. We spent quite a few months with that as our focus, and we were successful in our efforts to help each other though that difficult time. Since then, we have continued with our devotions, without a particular agenda, each of us expressing ourselves as we have been inspired.
We have a diverse group of people here, from all around the world, and I am wondering if it is time for us to join our love once again in a united focus. There are many worthy causes and people who are in need of loving energetic support. Michael asked us to love and help all the children all the days of our existence, and I was imagining us sending love to the children of the world. Maybe choosing a country, or an area, or even a particular hospital or group to focus our loving and healing energy for a period of time. It could be a week, two weeks, or a month at a time. Even if we posted a prayer or information at the beginning of the time period, and continued to use that as our focal point, it would not need to take much time, and of course we will still post our other thoughts, videos and pictures as we do now.
We are all busy, and there is much being done in Michael's name. If we each have a spiritual practice of some kind, and choose to add a united focus for even a few minutes a day, I think it will make a difference and help to heal the world and help the children, as Michael asked us to do. I would certainly be willing to do this on my own, and share with you, if it is not what the whole group is interested in.
Please let me know how you feel about this idea, or if there is something else that is of interest to you as our possible new focus.
I have been so honored to be a part of this group for the past year, it is always they first place I come when I open my computer each day, even if I don't always comment or read every article or watch every video, I love being part of such a loving, positive group of people. Thank you all so much.

Beginner's Luck
As someone who was only awakened to the truth of Michael after he was gone from the physical world, I have written about the guilt involved with this and I have come to the conclusion that it must have been meant to be that way. There must have been some kind of veil hiding the truth from me, because otherwise how could I have missed it? How could I have been the only one who had never heard Man in the Mirror, or Earth Song? Or seen any of Michael's short films? Having come to some sort of peace with this over that last 2 1/2 years, I still have not been able to figure out WHY there had to be this veil. This week, I have had some insights about the answer to this question.
It's sort of like the first time someone goes bowling. They don't know how to bowl, it looks pretty easy, just roll the ball down the floor and hit the pins. The person knows that they don't know, they have no hangups about the strategy, rules, pitfalls of bowling, so they just throw the ball down and get a strike. This is known as beginner's luck. The beginner knows that they don't know, so they just do it.
My theory is that this is what happened with me and Michael (as well as many others, but I am using me as an example). The lack of knowledge I had about him and the events of his life, and all the judgements and hangups that go along with that, in a way made me an ideal candidate to do the job for him that is mine to do. I was a clean slate because I hadn't gone through the ups and downs of his life with him, and formed opinions about the things that had happened and the people that were involved. This was important to the writing of Ever After as a straightforward, innocent childlike book. I didn't know how to write and publish a book. I only knew that I wanted to do it, that he wanted me to do it, so I just believed it and I did it. Each step along the way, I wasn't afraid in the least. My lack of experience protected me from the fear of making a mistake. It was the same when I decided to speak about Michael at my church. Being my first and only public speaking experience, I just did it.
There are people who were there for Michael while he was here, loving him, supporting him, and learning from him all those years when I was oblivious. I am still disappointed that I missed out on so much during the 50 years that we were both here together, but I understand that being oblivious was necessary for me to play my part the best way possible. It was the least I could do for Michael.
