Say Yes to your Heart

Michael has taught me the meaning of life. He has given me purpose and joy, taken away my fear of death, and my fear of living life to the fullest. Still, even with the huge impact he has had on my life, when I think of the biggest lesson I have learned from him, there is no doubt what that is. It is the thought that first struck me when he died, the lesson I hope that is conveyed in my book Ever After, and the reason I look forward to each day. The purpose of my life is to share this message with others. The lesson is this: Always say yes to your heart, and be the best you can be at whatever you love to do, no matter what.

Imagine a world where people say yes to their hearts without question, follow their dreams, doing their best and never giving up. This is the world that Michael believed in. This is the way he lived his life. He has shown me that this CAN be the real world. Since I have begun to trust him and follow this in my own life, everything is different, although it may seem the same on the outside.

Is there anyone who has ever followed his heart as unfailingly as Michael did? Is there anyone who has ever persevered against all odds as Michael did? Is there anyone who believed that all things were possible as Michael did?

He did these things because he believed his talents had been given to him by God and he felt his purpose was to express these gifts the best he could, so others might recognize their own gifts. This is true for all of us. We all have a purpose for being here, we have talents, ideas, inspirations just as Michael did. The difference between us and Michael is that he followed through NO MATTER WHAT. He did not just choose to express his gifts when he was inspired, when he was paid enough money, or when he was feeling good, he did it for us, because that is what he knew he was here to do.
He said, "I believe in me, so you'll believe in you." I believe in you Michael, and thanks to you, I also believe in me, and all of us. We are here to express our gifts and in doing so, we help others to be who they are meant to be as well. This is how we change the world. I promise that I will always say yes to my heart, and always do my best, no matter what.

Call for Love Devotion May 25

Today is May 25, and the day for the worldwide Major Love Prayer at 2:00PM Pacific Time. It is a good day to remember that You're Just Another Part of Me. This is the basis of compassion. If we remember that we are not separate, that we each can not move forward without bringing all of our sisters and brothers along with us, compassion becomes a natural way of being. Michael knew this and shared this message with us in this song and so many others. Let's honor him by showing him that we understand.

We're Takin' Over
We Have The Truth
This Is The Mission
To See It Through

Don't Point Your Finger
Not Dangerous
This Is Our Planet
You're One Of Us

We're Sendin' Out
A Major Love
And This Is Our
Message To You
(Message To You)
The Planets Are Linin' Up
We're Bringin' Brighter Days
They're All In Line
Waitin' For You
Can't You See . . .?
You're Just Another Part Of Me . .

A Rather Nation
Fulfill The Truth
The Final Message
We're Bring To You
There Is No Danger
Fulfill The Truth
So Come Together
We're Mean Is You

We're Sendin' Out
A Major Love
And This Is Our
Message To You
(Message To You)
The Planets Are Linin' Up
We're Bringin' Brighter Days
They're All In Line
Waitin' For You
So Look The Truth
You're Just Another Part Of Me . .

We're Sendin' Out
A Major Love
And This Is Our
Message To You
(Message To You)
The Planets Are Linin' Up
We're Bringin' Brighter Days
They're All In Line
Waitin' For You
Can't You See . . .?
You're Just Another Part Of Me
Another Part Of Me . .

We're Takin' Over
This Is The Truth, Baby
Another Part Of Me

Call for Love Devotion May 18

When I think of comfort in times of loss, this song is the one that fills my heart with hope and love.
I have used it to help me through the initial loss of Michael from this physical place, by imagining him singing it to all of us, to his Mother, to Elizabeth. I have thought of it as God singing to Michael in his times of need, God singing to me and me singing to my children when they have needed comfort. We are all connected and can not be lost from one another. I feel the truth of this when I hear Michael sing,

"You Are Not Alone"

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...
Not alone ohh
You are not alone
You are not alone
Say it again
You are not alone
You are not alone
Not alone, Not alone
If you just reach out for me girl
In the morning, in the evening
Not alone, not alone
You and me not alone
Oh together together
Not not being alone
Not not being alone

Call for Love Daily Devotion May 11

I'm committed to my art.
I believe that all art has as its ultimate goal the union between the material and the spiritual, the human and the divine. And I believe that that is the very reason for the existence of art and what I do. And I feel fortunate in being that instrument through which music flows.... Deep inside I feel that this world we live in is really a big, huge, monumental symphonic orchestra.
…The same new miracle intervals and biological rhythms that sound out the architecture of my DNA also governs the movement of the stars. The same music governs the rhythm of the seasons, the pulse of our heartbeats, the migration of birds, the ebb and flow of ocean tides, the cycles of growth, evolution and dissolution. It's music, it's rhythm. And my goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance. It's like, my purpose, it's what I'm here for.
Michael Jackson 1992 Ebony/Jet Interview
Dearest Michael,
Thank you for inviting all of us to be a part of your Symphony of Love.
We only need to look to you as our conductor, our maestro,
and we will know when and how to play and sing our individual notes.
We know our only responsibility is to play our own note as clear and true as we possibly can.
As individual notes, we are beautiful in our own right, but when we sing and play together as one,
we really shine, and our individual beauty is enhanced by one another beyond anything we could ever dream of.
We thank you for being with us, and encouraging us to remember who we really are.
Please help us to set an example for those who are just behind us on the path,
as we also reach out to those in front of us for a hand up along the way.
Please help us to remember that our job is not to tell others how to play their notes,
but rather to applaud their efforts and know that each one of us is as special and unique as the next.
The symphony can only be it’s best when all of it’s notes are playing their parts in harmony.
At the same time, we take comfort in knowing that if we feel we can not play our note for a time,
or if we must play it only very quietly,
the rest of the Symphony will carry us along until we feel strong enough to join in.
In this way we can all achieve what you have shown us is possible – the ecstasy of divine union.
Love you forever,
Your many dedicated notes

The Dichotomy of Michael

We live in a world of duality. Everything appears to have an opposite. Up and down, in and out, old and young, rich and poor, hot and cold. It seems that the extreme ends of any set of opposites causes stress of some kind. The way to peace, is in finding the balance between the extremes. One side is not better than the other, in fact, they are not really even opposites. One side is just the lack of the other end of the spectrum. Darkness is a lack of light. Cold is a lack of heat.

The only thing that does not have an opposite, is Love. "The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite." (A course in miracles) Fear is merely a lack of love.
Michael's ability to see love in every face, and have hope in every situation, caused some people to believe he was weak. They were wrong. If, in our life, we can see the love in every circumstance and person we meet, we are on our way to peace and Mastery. This is not weakness, it is strength.

Michael was masculine and feminine, black and white, child and adult, rich and poor, creative and active, innocent and experienced, shy and brazen, sexual and naive. The balance between these extremes, which was the essence of Michael, made all types of people love him. He was all of us rolled into one. His only goal was to express his talents to the best of his ability, and in that way, encourage others to do the same.

I have always wondered what it was about Michael that caused so much anger and hatred in some people. Michael had never caused harm to anyone, had helped thousands of people and brought joy to millions. I think it might have been the very fact that he was so balanced, in a world of extremes, which caused fear (lack of love) in those who saw him as a threat to their power.

However, there were many (and now are even more) people who knew the truth about Michael. His message of love is continuing to grow. His example is a shining beacon to those of us who wish to find peace and balance in our lives, and to help others do the same.

ABC

Earlier this week, I was feeling stuck. I was having doubts about my next steps, getting worried and afraid, thinking I had to figure it all out myself. The beautiful feeling of Joy in my heart, which had been my constant companion over the last year, had faded. It seemed as though I was all alone.

Then I remembered the promise I made to myself and Michael, a year and a half ago, that I would always say yes to my heart and not hold back, no matter what.

I decided I would have to step through my fears somehow. I imagined this would involve some deep soul searching, meditation, contemplation, as well as plenty of time and effort. I asked God and Michael to please help, and went to sleep.

Sometime during the night, I woke up with the song ABC playing in my head. I always have Michael’s music in my head and I don’t always pay much attention, but this time I took note of it, thinking that it was not much of a message, and went back to sleep. In the morning I had the song Enjoy Yourself playing in my mind. This also seemed important somehow, so I went to my computer to remind myself of the words to these two songs.

You went to school to learn girl

Things you never, never knew before

Like "I" before "E" except after "C"

And why 2 plus 2 makes 4

Now, now, now
I'm gonna teach you

Teach you, teach you

All about love girl

All about love

Sit yourself down, take a seat

All you gotta do is repeat after me

A B C

It's easy as, 1 2 3

As simple as, do re mi

A B C, 1 2 3
Baby, you and me girl

Hmmm, a song that I had never thought of as having a message of any serious consequence, suddenly seemed to have a lot of meaning. Is Michael saying we are here to learn about love, and he can show us the way? It seems pretty clear, as easy as ABC.

Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself

Enjoy yourself with me

Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself

Enjoy yourself with me

Better enjoy yourself

Better enjoy yourself

You sittin' over there starin' in space a-while

People are dancin', dancin' all over the place

But you shouldn't worry about things that cha can't control

A-come on girl while the night is young

Why don't she let, let yourself go woo

Let's have some fun

Let's have a good time you an' me

Sittin' there wit-cha mouth poked out

Just as sweet as you can be

Why don't-cha live, live the life you got

Come on girl let's git it while the music's runnin' hot woo

So it is not only easy, but it should also be fun! Obviously, I had been taking myself too seriously. I am not sure where this will lead me, but I do know that I am no longer afraid. Once again, Michael has answered my prayers with a perfect, clear and comforting message of L.O.V.E.

The Ultimate Square Peg

It seems to be a well known fact that Michael was a lonely person. He had to be separated from his fans, for his protection and theirs. He didn't know which people he could trust, and which ones only wanted something from him. The people who saw him the most, were often those who were paid to do a job for him.

At the same time, there were a lot of people who loved him. Musicians, actors, bodyguards, children by the dozens, artists, dancers, families such as the Cascio's who he could be himself with. His mother, children, nieces and nephews. Why was he so lonely? He was not lacking human contact or social stimulation.

Maybe it was more than just his celebrity and eccentricities that made him feel lonely. Maybe it was that he just didn't fit into this world. Truly a square peg in a round hole. Can you imagine having music channelling through your head from the time you were a child. Can you imagine seeing people as the souls they truly are underneath the outward facade. Can you imagine seeing everything in a totally different way than everyone on the planet, except children, who are not taken seriously anyway. No wonder he wanted to be Peter Pan. He was Peter Pan.

Add to this, the interesting twist that you yourself are two different people, and the person everyone thinks you are, is not the person you really are. It's enough to make you want to build yourself a big safe haven of love. Somewhere to let yourself be free to just be.

Michael, we really do understand. We love you. We can see the real you shining through, impossible to conceal. And you have shown us how to be the real us. To think outside the box. It's hard for us to rise to your level, but we can do it, if you just hold our hands.
