The Dichotomy of Michael

We live in a world of duality. Everything appears to have an opposite. Up and down, in and out, old and young, rich and poor, hot and cold. It seems that the extreme ends of any set of opposites causes stress of some kind. The way to peace, is in finding the balance between the extremes. One side is not better than the other, in fact, they are not really even opposites. One side is just the lack of the other end of the spectrum. Darkness is a lack of light. Cold is a lack of heat.

The only thing that does not have an opposite, is Love. "The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite." (A course in miracles) Fear is merely a lack of love.
Michael's ability to see love in every face, and have hope in every situation, caused some people to believe he was weak. They were wrong. If, in our life, we can see the love in every circumstance and person we meet, we are on our way to peace and Mastery. This is not weakness, it is strength.

Michael was masculine and feminine, black and white, child and adult, rich and poor, creative and active, innocent and experienced, shy and brazen, sexual and naive. The balance between these extremes, which was the essence of Michael, made all types of people love him. He was all of us rolled into one. His only goal was to express his talents to the best of his ability, and in that way, encourage others to do the same.

I have always wondered what it was about Michael that caused so much anger and hatred in some people. Michael had never caused harm to anyone, had helped thousands of people and brought joy to millions. I think it might have been the very fact that he was so balanced, in a world of extremes, which caused fear (lack of love) in those who saw him as a threat to their power.

However, there were many (and now are even more) people who knew the truth about Michael. His message of love is continuing to grow. His example is a shining beacon to those of us who wish to find peace and balance in our lives, and to help others do the same.

You know what else Brenda... Michael wasnt just the balance of all of these opposites - He wasnt on the middle spectrum of everything... He was the absolute EXTREME of each opposite. How it is even possible to be BOTH of everything?? It's unfathomable. He is all-encompassing. I have never heard of another being having this quality - other than God, of course...

You are right Siren, People are accustomed to saying, "I am shy", or "I am outgoing", as if they are only one or the other. I think we are all here to learn to love both ends of every opposite, and accept them all as part of us, and know they are all good. Michael is such a shining example for us to follow and learn from. Thanks for stopping by, love to hear your thoughts!
